In this section you will find a tutorial on how to connect Tapirx device to deskbird.

Set deskbird API key

In the Tapirx Client admin
  1. Log in to the Tapirx Client admin with your credentials here
  2. Click on "Client admin" link in the menu
  3. Go to Client admin -> Settings -> Client settings
  4. Enter deskbird API key
  5. Click Save

Import deskbird resources

  1. Go back to the Client admin
  2. Navigate to deskbird import
  3. Select resources for import (resources from deskbird which will use Tapirx devices)
  4. Click on Import selected

Connecting resource to device

  1. Go back to Client admin
  2. Click on "Device list"
  3. Click on "Menu" and choose "Settings"
  4. Select resource from the list
  5. Click on Save

Using check-in functionality

With this functionality enabled, you can check in to deskbird room. Before enabling this functinality, please make sure the check-in functionality is configured properly in deskbird.

  1. Go to Client admin -> Settings -> Client settings
  2. Scroll to "deskbird check-in enabled"
  3. Select "Yes"
  4. Click on Save

Done

Please set up your Tapirx device as written in Setup manual which we have provided to you and your device should start showing calendar. Please allow 5-30 minutes so the device has time to start synchronizing.
